2023 Recap Medium and Linkedin Posts

The end of 2023 is just a few days away. I want to make a recap article for 2023 of my Medium and Linkedin post. Some of my post is part of my 2023’s wishes. So, it reminds me on what I already achieve.

In 2023, I made a career change. I joined a company with the same role and still in finance. I took a month break to learn to drive and went to the gym 3 times a week. The 30 days spent was really enjoyful and meaningful. Around that time, I also got driving licenses too.

2023 is really depressing in the first couple of months, and enjoy around mid until end of the year. I write a couple of technical articles as I listed below.

Early 2023

I learnt a lot of things such as concepts, libraries, data processing. I wrote a couple of them. I also wrote a personal article which I went back to machine learning and deep learning stuff where I left last year. I am getting into LLM and MLOps. I practiced a lot on MLOps because those are automation and I love making automation.

I made a post on linkedin in the 1st January. My initial goal is actual not be better at coding. Well, if it did, then it is a bonus. But, my goal was to create a habit and consistency. Leetcode is just a medium for me to do that.

Result:

I consistently at the beginning and lost interest after two weeks. I tried a couple of times in May. That’s because I took a month off of daily work. Then, I found something that starts leetcode consistently. I wrote the trick in my article which the link is down below.

Mid 2023

Since the mid of 2023, I wrote a couple of articles. It is not that much as I expected. I expected to write once a month, but the reality said another way.

2024

For 2024, I hope everything is better than before. I already made some checklist todo in 2024. Some of them are:

• Develop substack newsletter with my friend. So I will regularly publish a newsletter there called The Beep. Go subscribe https://thebeep.substack.com/
• I continue to do research project which it is a joint research project about controlled text generation.
• I will travel abroad, because my passport haven’t gotten a stamp yet. So, I will trave more this year.
• More list to come
