- Open your discord
- Open settings
- Select notification
- Scroll down, then disable the actions that you don’t want to have a sound

Story
When I started a discord server called Jakarta AI Research, I often hold data science talks and workshops. People were coming in, the discussion was two ways and interactive. Some people mute and unmute microphone, some people just joined and leave the voice channel. But, one thing that annoy me so much. Yes! the sound. Every single time you join, leave, mute, unmute, well basically your action on discord always hear the sound and it disturb people or the speaker when discussing something.
So, I first googled it on how to unmute the sound, then what I only found was forums discussing adding features, feedbacks and so on. I didn’t get the answer that I wanted.
So, I just opening my account settings, check notification, and I scrolled it down. I found sound section that I can disable sound notification on Discord. After several weeks, I figured it out how, the features are just there.
